About Us

Founded in 1977 by Dr. David Lewellen, Pediatric Dentistry Specialists provide a fun, friendly and comfortable environment for our patients. Dr. Lewellen retired in 2005.

In 2002, Dr. Kurt Swauger joined our team. Dr. Swauger received his Doctorate in Dental Science (D.D.S.) from the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis and completed his post-doctoral training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After graduation he returned to his hometown of Nashville to enter private practice. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Tennessee Dental Association, and Nashville Dental Association, and he is Board Certified to practice Pediatric Dentistry in Tennessee.
