Our Services
Preventive Dentistry
We provide general maintenance and care through routine cleaning and examinations. To maintain optimal dental health, your child should be seen every six months, unless otherwise instructed. Regular check-ups and cleanings help your child stay cavity-free and remove build up known as plaque.
Sealants
A sealant is a plastic material that is applied to the chewing surface on the back teeth (premolars and molars), where decay occurs most. This sealant acts as a barrier, protecting the decay-prone areas of the teeth from plaque and acid.
X-Rays
X-rays are necessary for a complete diagnosis of your child's dental health. In addition to cavity detecting, X-rays are used to survey teeth, diagnose bone diseases, evaluate the results of an injury or plan orthodontic treatment. If dental problems are found and treated early, dental care is more comfortable for your child and more affordable for you.
Pulp Therapy
The pulp of a tooth is the inner central core containing nerves, blood vessels, reparative cells and connective tissue. The purpose of pulp therapy is to maintain the vitality of the affected tooth. Cavities and traumatic injuries are reasons pulp therapy may be necessary.
Nitrous Oxide
"Laughing Gas," or Nitrous Oxide, is issued to some children to help them relax without putting them to sleep. It is administered through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child's nose.
Conscious Sedation
Conscious Sedation, or sleep dentistry, is recommended for apprehensive children, very young children and children with special needs. It is used to calm your child and to reduce the anxiety and discomfort associated with dental treatments.
